The Future
Hello all. So, as many of you have clearly realised, the server has been experiencing, most predominantly this week, a down-time of players. This is for a variety of reasons, but, due to the circumstances of the community at current, I have decided that the scenario, The Rolling Hills of Swadia, will be coming to an end soon. We've had some good times, and we've had some bad times and I think we have learnt a lot from this scenario. The scenario was months in the making, and we wanted to try a different direction and use different mechanics and systems to scenarios we've seen in the past, and again I think we've found both positive and negative from the changes we implemented. However, we thank you all for playing on the scenario as we have, and I'm only sorry that IRL had got in the way at some important moments of the server, so I couldn't be there to help.
However, we plan to help send the server off with everyone having some fun, so, our last major event will be The Siege of Reindi. We encourage all to make tickets who have not, both for Event Characters and Player Characters. Those who desire to play their Player Character can choose to do so; you must make an Event Character Ticket stating your intentions to play your PC (and the name obviously) and also state as a backup who you'd like to play as an EC if we decide there are too many PCs/balancing.
The scenario, The Rolling Hills of Swadia, will close Monday 14th December. If you have no interest with your current character going forward, it would be best to begin closing the story in the next few days.

Although, we do not intend to just cut off the server as a whole - many of us within the team have enjoyed our time on the server as well as many players, and we wish to continue on our road, but in a much different fashion. Therefore, I am announcing that we are creating a much smaller whitelist scenario. The scenario will be based in a sector of the City of Dhirim, and its direction will be more of a story-based world, almost a merge between Dungeons and Dragons and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I always looked at creating something of the sorts, but out of the toss-up the scenarios you all know today was the winner - which created The Rolling Hills.
The scenario will remain in the same world/canon as The Rolling Hills of Swadia, but be set around a year or two afterwards. Player Characters on the server will also be able to join the scenario, the specific lore details will be posted/better detailed in the next few weeks, but there will be restrictions on certain characters which desire to join, but ultimately the wider pool of characters should not find a problem - character applications will all be handled by a case-by-case basis. Other things to help support the world will be an initial cast of characters, who each will have a story and a purpose to the scene, alongside everyone in the scenario will have a specific role to play, and not generic titles which look nice but are redundant.
We are very well aware this style of scenario will not be a favourite across the board. This scenario also will not be to compete with any server, due to the nature of such, we are not aiming for a large PB. However, what we aim to do is slim down the bureaucracy from an administrative point of view, to allow players to have more freedom in turn of putting more trust in the players to follow the rules and use their common sense. All those who wish to be a part of the project, be it to continue the story of their character from the Rolling Hills, take up a new one within the court/city, bring along ideas for the plot lines, mechanics or systems, or contribute to ideas which the staff team wish to involve all parties to - then free feel to make a whitelist application here. Existing characters within the scenario require a biography or character sheet. Our estimation for development is approximately 3-8 weeks; sometime in the new year! We will also be releasing updates alongside development to keep you all updated with progression. Although, to note, your whitelist application may take between 1-5 days, so do not be disheartened if you do not receive a reply instantly.
